Judging by Robbo's pictures emerging on Twitter this week (@legsidestumping), it appears that reports of Ark-building down at Calcutt were unfounded.
Welcome to the new season! With drought conditions declared across most of the country during March, it was somewhat inevitable the with cricket would come rain - and April has certainly obliged.
So, something of a false start with all three teams rained-off on day 1, but good look to everyone who pulls on a Forest cap this season - assuming the sun does eventually show itself again!
Andrew Kenyon is a trainee actuary with Aviva. Andrew opens the batting for the 1st XI and will occasionally turn his arm over.
