Info...
The Addison Cup, the CB Atkinson Tropy, the George Greaves Cup and the MMP Cup are managed by the Harrogate & District Amateur Evening Cricket League and as such, are contested by members of the league.
The Addison Cup is competed for by teams in divisions one and two, the CB Atkinson Trophy by those in divisions three and four and the George Greaves Cup by those in divisions five and six. The MMP Cup is played for by teams who lose in the first round of the George Greaves Cup.
Matches in all competitions take the same form, with all games prior to the final being play on Monday evenings. Games will commence at 6:30pm except for the finals which will begin at 6:15pm. Each team may bat for a maximum of 20 overs, except for fixtures played during the first week of the evening league season where the innings will last a maximum of 18 overs.
No bowler may bowl more than six overs in any one innings and may take no more than a 12 yard run up. Any short-pitched delivery which bounces above the shoulder height of a batsman in his normal stance shall be called a "no-ball".
Should the home team decide that the ground is unfit for play (due to wet weather), a match maybe cancelled no later than 4:00pm on the day of the game. Otherwise, the game may be reduced by a maximum of four overs per side (i.e. 20 overs per side becomes 16, 18 overs per side becomes 14) and must start no later than 7:00pm. If a game is unable to be completed due to further rain interventions it must be replayed on the following Monday or another date mutually agreed by both clubs and approved by the Assistant League Secretary.
In all competitions, the final will be played at a neutral ground.

Well it’s been a long time since any of us have updates their Blogs. Has Blogging been replaced with Tweeting?
As this is only the second ever blog from the man with less hair every over he bowls and first one in a long time I will talk about how KFCC have begun the 2011 season. It’s been a great start for all the senior teams as well as continued improvement from the ever growing junior set up. There have been fantastic league results from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team – with the 3rds yet to loose!
A major strength in the 1st team is our batting line up. In particular, the top order is very competitive this year with the return of familiar faces such as Phil Arrand and the ‘protein hustler’ Dave Skaith both making great contributions. Paulo One-Shot Parker has even earned local fame from his crushing performances with the bat or the cut shot to be precise. Not forgetting the rest of our batsmen however. Other than myself of course, we have the capability to bat all the way down the order - which has been the reason for scores of 318 and 290 in the past two weeks. I myself haven’t been short of trophies this year for my performances on the field. The Jonathan Jugg award is yet to leave my hands this season, at least there’s something I can hold on to!
With the return of our fearless leader from the land down... More
